The gPiO Box was originally designed to work with the Raspberry Pi. We have had numerous enquiries about whether we could make it work with other microprocessor/microcontroller based systems such as micro:bit, arduino, PICAXE etc.
We are in the process of designing a number of 'LinKBoxes' that will enable this to happen. The first of these is the Arduino LinkBox.
“When I first got my hands on a Raspberry Pi early experiments with breadboard and jumper wires were a disaster. I had decided that there probably wasn’t a niche for the Raspberry Pi at KS2 until I got my hands on a set of gPiO interfaces. I now teach physical computing on the Pi throughout my school, starting with children as young as 8 – and they love it!”
